AADR/ADA: Bridging research evidence and clinical decision-making

Los Angeles, Calif., USA - A symposium titled "AADR/ADA: Bridging Research Evidence and Clinical Decision-making" will take place today at the 45th Annual Meeting & Exhibition of the American Association for Dental Research. The AADR Annual Meeting is being held in conjunction with the 40th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research.

This symposium will go beyond the basic skills and comprehension of evidence-based dentistry and focus on specific resources and opportunities to interpret research evidence for clinical decision-making. This symposium will recognize the challenge facing both clinicians and researchers today to build this bridge and improve patient care. This symposium will also seek to enhance the understanding and utilization of research evidence providing insight for clinicians in deciphering published research and for researchers to understand the best presentation of their evidence in the context of clinical decision making.

By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to: identify available resources to quickly and efficiently access research evidence; recognize methods for interpreting research evidence and apply it to patient care; and understand how research findings can best be presented for incorporation into the clinical decision-making process.

This is a summary of the symposium titled "AADR/ADA: Bridging Research Evidence and Clinical Decision-making," which will take place on Friday, March 18, 2016,1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center, room #515A.
